YLC Letter of Intent Guidelines for Grant Applicants
The Philanthropy Project was started in 2006 by Foundation for Roanoke Valley to introduce
students to the world of philanthropy. A Youth Leadership Committee (YLC), comprised
of local high school students, is responsible for determining what it believes are
important community needs, preparing The Philanthropy Project Letter of Intent, reviewing grant applications,
and making funding recommendations to the Foundation's Board of Governors using a
$25,000 budget.
